MYF YOUTH SUNDAY

• Prayer focus: the island of Taiwan. The Taiwanese working class is an unreached people group, comprising 60-70% of the population. Less than 0.5% are Christian. Instead, many see themselves as under the power of spiritual forces. Worshiping many gods, they believe that after death their relatives become ghosts, which must be worshipped to prevent trouble. Pray that the freedom and peace Christ offers will pierce this darkness.

YOUTH PASTOR POSITION AT BELDOR. Beldor Mennonite Church in Elkton is looking for a part-time youth pastor or a couple interested in serving as a youth pastor team. Responsibilities and salary will be based on one-fourth or one-fifth of a full-time position. ADULT WINTER BIBLE SCHOOL, focusing on Revelation, is held on Sunday evenings until March 5 at 6:30 p.m. in EMS Auditorium.

MEDICARE SEMINARS. Mennonite Mutual Aid will host two seminars focusing on Understanding your Medicare Supplement (Medigap) and Medicare Part D Coverages at 10 a.m. and at 2 p.m. on February 28 in Hartman Dining Room at VMRC. Join them to ask questions, learn valuable information (including how to save up to 40% on your Medicare Supplement policy), and make sense of it all. 2006 MCC TURKEY CANNING, scheduled for February 27—March 3 at the Mennonite Relief Center in Hinton, is an effort to feed the less fortunate in the world. And you have an opportunity to help! Anyone is welcome to come and help during the hours of 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on each day (morning hours are usually the time when more help is needed). VMC is responsible to provide help on Tuesday, February 28. The last day of this effort—Friday, March 3—is community day! If you cannot help in the canning process, funds are needed to purchase turkey for processing and for the on-going operation of the Relief Center. MSEC INSTRUMENTAL FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE: Eastern Mennonite High School will host the MSEC Instrumental Festival on March 2—4. Approximately, 150 high school students will be participating. They will perform a free public concert on Friday, March 3 at 7 p.m. in the EMHS Auditorium.

EMHS VOLLEYBALL CLINICS FOR GIRLS: EMHS will host girls’ volleyball clinics for grades 4 and 5 on March 18 and 25, and for grades 6 and up on March 14, 16, 21, 28, and 30. Cost is $10 per player. Contact Jan Kauffman, EMHS Varsity Volleyball coach, at jankauffma@netzero.net.

A SERIES OF FIVE THURSDAY EVENING SEMINARS for engaged couples will be held at EMU's Campus Center rooms 301/302 beginning March 16. Topics include families of origin, conflict management, finances, sexuality and personal responsibility for making a marriage work. Cost for the series is $50 per couple ($20 for student couples). SPRING BUS TRIP TO YODER BARN! Pieced Together: We Had It Good, which includes stories of change and traditional four-part harmony to dramatically illustrate the sharp contrast all communities feel between the present and the past, will show at Yoder Barn in Newport News. SATURDAY, APRIL 1, LUNASA, an Irish music quintet, will present a program at the Eastern Mennonite School Auditorium. One reviewer said of the group, "An amazing new instrumental quintet: state-of-the-art Irish music as aggressively infectious as you¹ll ever hear."
