GUEST LECTURE AT EMU: Norman Wirzba, professor & chair of the philosophy department at Georgetown College in Kentucky, will speak on “Recovering the Sabbath for Everyday” at 8 p.m. on September 7 in Martin Chapel. Wirzba will also present the first Suter Science Seminar of fall semester at 4 p.m. on September 8 in room 104 of Suter Science Center. He will speak on “Gratitude as the Basis for Environmental Ethics.” Admission is free; for more information call 432-4168.

HARVEST DAY AT CROSSROADS: On Saturday, September 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CrossRoads (the Valley Brethren-Mennonite Heritage Center) is sponsoring its annual Harvest Day, featuring special activities for children and storytelling events for all ages. Activities include:
