FESTIVAL OF PRAISE: Men’s voices in harmony, mostly a cappella, will resound at the fifth annual “Festival of Praise,” held in the Park View Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg, on Sunday, November 5, 4:00 p.m. Thirteen men’s groups will sing, and form a mass chorus directed by Jay Hartzler, music director at Eastern Mennonite High School. An offering will be received to benefit Virginia Mennonite Board of Missions USA ministries. "SINGING IN THE SPIRIT," a new 28-song 2-CD set of Mennonite Hour music, a new archival collection of camp-meeting songs, spirituals, and folk tunes celebrating a diverse spiritual heritage, will be available from Mennonite Media in November. This set is a reissue of two Mennonite Hour record albums, "I'm Gonna Sing" (1966) & "I Feel the Spirit" (1968) sung by a select 12-voice men's ensemble.
