Ministers: Each Member at Zion
Pastor's Corner CHRISTMAS 2006
December 25, 2006 The shepherds watching their sheep at night were filled with awe and fear by the presence of angels bearing good news. However, as they made their way to the stable, they discovered the amazing presence of joy as they met Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. Their joy was so overwhelming that they told everyone about the birth of Jesus and their hopes for the future. During this Christmas season, we wish to express our deep joy for the hopefulness seen in the Christ event. As members and friends of Zion Mennonite Church continue to participate in worship, engage in mission, and actively represent the presence of Christ, we have seen God at work in our community and in the world. We are filled with gratitude for the affirmation, care, and encouragement you have provided to us during this past year. The cards, letters, gifts, and spoken words given to us throughout the year have provided insight and hopefulness for our ministry. As we anticipate the unfolding New Year, we dream about new ways for our congregation to engage in practices of faith and mission. We dream about strengthening relationships with members and friends of the congregation. We have hopes of expanding the witness of our congregation into the community in new ways. All these things are possible because of the birth of Christ and your participation in the work of Zion Mennonite Church. May God bless your life and ministry in the coming year. With sincere appreciation, Clyde & Eunice Kratz |
